Suspension
The rear suspension is extremely important in getting a car to hook up.  One of the issues we had was using old Lakewood slapper bars just wouldn't keep the tires planted.
The car already had frame connectors so we installed a  Jegs braced cross members with Competition Engineering 33 inch ladder bars and Competition Engineering floaters. We relocated the shocks and use CE full adjustable shocks set on 50/50.
Did it make a difference?  Well,  we dropped 1.5 seconds off the 1/4 mile time.
